RACING & TRAINING

The Launceston Triathlon Club (LTC) is one of three regional clubs in Tasmania that organise and run sanctioned triathlon, duathlon and aquathon events.

LTC is a not for profit incorporated association that is run by a volunteer management committee, running events in and around the Tamar Valley and Northern Tasmania.

Boasting almost 100 members including senior and junior participants, our main focus is on participation, many of our members have accredited themselves well at an international and national level, including internationally ranked professional triathletes Joe Gambles, James Hodge and Jacob Birtwhistle.

The club has a successful junior development program with a significant number of state school representatives selected for the Tasmanian junior team coming from LTC in recent years.

The club runs up to 3 training sessions every week throughout the whole year, with training sessions designed to encourage participation for members ranging from beginners to experienced triathletes.

We also hold annual training days and regular social activities.

LTC’s focus is on promoting active participation and healthy lifestyles.
